The rumor mill surrounding the M4 is on fire these days. After BMW's Senior Vice President for Brand and Product Strategies, Klaus Froelich, talked to Auto Express in a recent interview, everyone went haywire.
The latest news is that the M4 might be unveiled as a concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August, a lot sooner than expected initially, when everyone was talking about a Frankfurt debut.
Either way, BMW seems to pay attention to what we're writing and keeps on sending its M4 out on the track to keep us drooling for more. The new high-performance coupe will be focusing on lightweight construction and will most likely have a new 3-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged engine under the bonnet that will be delivering well over 400 HP.
Furthermore, the rear-wheel-drive character of the M3 Coupe will be kept, no xDrive model being possible in the near future. Considering that the 4 Series will be receiving a Limited Slip Differential as part of the M Performance Parts program, we might even see this as part of the differential used on the M4.
