Excluding the $1,195 destination charge, the Mopar 2016 Ram Rebel is priced at a slightly unnerving $52,460. That’s heavy-duty money for a light-duty truck, but then again, this thing is the limited edition of an extremely capable workhorse with plenty of attitude to boot. By comparison, the Rebel without Mopar affixed to its name costs $43,270.
“We are excited to team up with our friends at the Ram Truck brand to offer the first limited-edition Mopar vehicle for full-size truck enthusiasts,” declared Pietro Gorlier, Mopar head of parts and service at FCA. “The already formidable Ram 1500 Rebel is a perfect canvas for unique Mopar accessories and performance parts developed to reinforce the rugged personality of the Rebel.”
Still, what exactly do you get in return? Slated to arrive at select dealerships in the summer, the Mopar-Ram mashup comes exclusively in crew cab form with 4x4. Only two paint options will be available: Flame Red with Brilliant Black two-tone or Brilliant Black monotone.
Look closer to the pics in the gallery below and you’ll notice the dual bezel sport hood adorned with a matte black decal, off-road flares on each corner, blue-and-black decals on the profile and tailgate, as well as 17-inch satin black wheels shod in 33-inch tires.
The package also features a skid plate that substitutes the black front bumper skid plate for the standard billet silver color. Inside, your only proof that this is a Mopar 2016 Ram Rebel is a serialized badge on the glove box. These said, would you pay $9,190 on top of the price of a Rebel for this stuff? Your call.
