The Monster Jam monster truck racing series is getting ready to welcome the first Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) truck created in more than a decade. Dubbed Mopar Muscle, the vehicle shown above will join the 2014 championship with Hall Brothers Racing after its January 11 unveiling event in Detroit.
Powered by a supercharged 565 cubic engine engine based on the iconic 426 Hemi, the monster truck is based on a 2014 Ram Heavy Duty, weighs 10,300 pounds and boasts 2,000 horsepower. The Mopar Muscle will be entered by Ram Truck-sponsored Hall Brothers Racing in six Monster Jam events this year and will wear a special 50th Anniversary Hemi logo.

The vehicle that will make its public debut in Detroit tomorrow will be driven by Mike Miller.

"We're excited to have Mopar make its first foray into the world of monster trucks by joining the Ram brand in this popular and competitive exhibition series with a such a passionate and loyal following," said Pietro Gorlier, president and CEO of the Mopar brand. "So much of what Mopar does is applicable to the general consumer, but occasionally we like to show just how capable our brand is of really extreme performance. This is a great and fun opportunity for us to do that with Mopar Muscle and the Hall Brothers."
