While Mopar may be known in the US for the special and bespoke parts they offer for cars from within the Chrysler group, in Europe Mopar wil become Fiat and Chrysler’s customer care brand, and will serve customers of cars bought from Fiat, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Jeep and Lancia.
They aim to standardize their customer care services, in order to improve them. They will have a dedicated website where each customer will be able to keep track of when their car needs servicing, and what sort of work needs to be carried out. An app, which lets owners know about special events has already been downloaded over 170,000 times - it will become available on the site, once it’s up.
Mopar will also be an accessories brand for the aforementioned marques, offering a range of personalization accessories, such as body graphics, special alloys and other bolt-on bits. The first car the service will be available on is the all-new Fiat Panda 4x4, and customers will be offered a special Panda Care 4x4 package, which includes four-years’ warranty, which includes servicing, roadside assistance as well as free winter tires.
For the Panda, the service will cost an additional €1,000, yet it represents a saving of around 30% over buying each item individually.
