Mopar Advice: Tend to Your Car

One of the most overlooked aspects of owning a car is that, from time to time, the machine needs you to pay some attention to it and tend to its needs. Whether we are talking about the regular inspection or checking the tire pressure, taking care of the car from time to time is an important aspect of owning one.

Yet, according to a study by the Car Care Council, 80 percent of vehicles inspected experienced at least one part or system failure. The consumer-focused organization found that 54 percent of cars had low tire pressure, 38 percent were running low on oil, 16 percent had dirty air filters or 10 percent had low or contaminated brake fluid.

“Preventative maintenance is the key to maintaining optimum performance for your vehicle,” Pietro Gorlier, Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care CEO said. “Simple routine maintenance is the way to avoid future costly repairs and keep your vehicle on the road longer.”

This is why Mopar has a few tips for those who forget a car is a machinery, hence prone to malfunctions and brake down.

There are basically six elements which can be checked by the owner and who don't need some type of qualification to be done: the tires, the fluid levels, the engine belts and hoses, the air filter, the battery and the wiper blades. If you find any of them to be faulty, Mopar offers servicing for all of them, as part of the National Car Care month.
