Priced at $45,835 excluding destination charge, the Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger is pretty good value for money. Based on the R/T Scat Pack, this limited edition celebrates Fiat Chrysler’s factory customization arm with exclusive graphics, the Shaker Hood, and custom interior appointments.
The Mopar-branded muscle car gives a hint of vintage thanks to the air-gulping scoop in the hood and Shaker badging on both sides, complemented by a rear decklid spoiler with a Mopar Design badge to bring the point home. Forged aluminum wheels are also featured, enhanced with Mopar center caps, valve stem caps, wheel locks, and Goodyear 245/45 ZR20 tires.

“Over the last decade, we’ve customized an impressive group of vehicles with exclusive Mopar performance parts and accessories that our enthusiast customers crave,”
said head honcho Mark Bosanac. “This year we’re commemorating our tenth build with another unique and collectible Challenger.”

Available in White Knuckle or Pitch Black, the HEMI V8-engined model further sweetens the deal with a cold air intake, strut tower braces coated with silver paint, and Brembo performance brakes with red calipers. The 392-inch motor churns out 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, and the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission can be had as an optional extra.

The so-called “Owner’s Kit” is another strong point of the Mopar ’19 limited edition, packaged with the exact date of manufacture and proprietary build number. A booklet engraved with the vehicle number and a rendering produced by the Mopar design team are included in the retail price.

90 vehicles for the U.S. and 10 vehicles for Canada is how limited the Mopar ’19 is, and the order books will open in September 2019 for both markets. Deliveries, meanwhile, are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2019.

Let’s go through the pricing again. At $45,835 as opposed to $40,245 the bone-stock Challenger R/T Scat Pack, a premium of $5,590 sounds a bit too much to our ears. The Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody is pricier still, starting at $46,245 or $502 per month for a 36-month5 lease.
