Mopar ’15 Performance Kit Enhances the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T

If you’re looking for performance in a box, you’ve got it with the Mopar ’15 kit for the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T. There’s one small problem with it though: only 50 packages will be made available for this model year, each one costing $3,550.

With the exception of the 392 HEMI and Hellcat-branded vehicles, the “Mopar or No Car” wordplay lost some of its flavor in the 21st century. That doesn’t apply with the new limited-edition performance package from the skunkworks known as Mopar. What does this kit include, why does this thing cost $3,550 and why only 50 units will ever be made?

“Mopar has a long history of delivering to enthusiasts performance and customization in unique and convenient packages,” said Pietro Gorlier, president and CEO of the Mopar’s service, parts and customer care. “We are now shifting into another gear and offering a limited-edition kit that will allow customers to really enhance the performance and look of their Dodge Charger R/T.”

Boiled down to its core components, the Mopar ’15 pack is a Stage 1 Scat Pack performance kit with some extras on the sides. Highlight bits and bobs include a cold-air intake, cat-back exhaust system, a Stage 1 premium fuel powertrain control unit and a high-flow oil filter. Scat Pack 1 badges are there to embellish the looks of the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T.

Add a front strut tower brace with shiny caps and you’re able to understand where this is going. Thanks to the go-faster kit and those Scat Pack badges, the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T gains 18 horsepower and 18 lb-ft of torque over the 370 HP and 395 lb-ft churned out by the good ole 5.7-liter HEMI V8. Add $3,550 to the starting price of $32,995 and the Mopar ’15-enhanced Dodge Charger R/T will set you back $36,545.

Compared to the R/T Scat Pack’s $39,995 sticker, that’s a good deal from our point of view. Other notable package items come in the guise of bright pedals, Mopar-enhnaced door sill entry guards, matte black Mopar ’15 body-side graphics, as well as a Mopar ’15 serialized badge on the dashboard.
