Montesa Shows a "4Ride" Teaser That Doesn't Provide Any Useful Info

Yes, it's very nice to put teasers online, and they can play a major role in boosting the interest in a certain product, whatever it may be. However, simply going hermetic, eclectic and putting some random images together backed by some martial/action soundtrack starts to look silly.
Unfortunately, it's the case of Montesa, which has just uploaded a teaser that is so sterile and dumb that it really makes us wonder if copyrighters are in some sort of dumb and dumber competition.

For crying out loud, the purpose of a teaser is to tease, and to tease means to show a small fraction of what you are preparing, captivating the interest of your would-be customer and making him or her keep coming for more.

Or, in this particular case, cause a fellow to hit the subscribe button on YouTube, type an email address into the newsletter box, and so on. But to do so, the poor guy needs a reason. A strong reason, even!

We've had a ton of teasing lately from the likes of Kawasaki with their H2 and H2R machines, and from Ducati as well, so there is plenty to learn from. Showing some random off-road scenes is nowhere near enough. Of course Montesa will come up with an off-road thingie, nobody expects them to deliver a widescreen TV or an iPhone killer.

The only thing some of us could get from this dumb teaser is that Montesa's new machine might be more than a trial two-wheeler and could be used for more fun by other off-road enthusiasts. At least we hope they put Tony Bou on the bike and shoot some crazy action scenes!
