Monster Trucks Jumping into Mud: Louisiana Mudfest

This next video was recently taken at the Louisiana Mudfest in Colfax, one of the best places to have primitive fun in America. It shows some huge truck rigs with lifted suspension and tractor tires, jumping into the swamp mud like a bunch of happy hippos.
As you all know, two things are really big in Louisiana – swamps, crocodiles and the people… or is that three? Counting is overrated anyway.

Regardless, you've got your Ford guys, your Jeeps, the Silverados and the occasional beater SUV, all getting along and playing in the mud. Our favorite is Stroked Out Diesel, an F-Series Ford with a Duramax engine to die for. It puts down a huge cloud of smoke and gets some major airtime.

This year's Mudfest was titled "Trucks Gone Wild" and took place between April 25-27. The entertainment was provided by 4 Mob Jab, Voodoo Gumbo, Lousiana's Le Roux and Jaryd Lane. They even had helicopter rides costing $80 for 2 people, so not all the fun was had in the dirt.

If you're here to see trucks being smashed or are simply curious what rich rednecks do with their time and money, you've come to the right place! And yes, there are girls, guns, ATVs and alcohol involved.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
