Stereotypes exist for a reason and we're here to see how this applies to the Toyota Supra. To be more precise, we're talking about the fourth-generation Supra, the car most people, aficionados or not, think about when hearing this name.
Here's an example of what we mean - when the Supra is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind has to do with its 2JZ heart. Interestingly, the 2JZ has multiple forms that spread far beyond the Supra platforms, many of which are less than enticing.

All the 2JZ fame comes mostly thanks to the Mk IV Supra's 2JZ-GTE factory turbocharged unit, an in-line six that is still famous today (we're now well over two decades from the moment of its introduction).

The most important asset of this engine is that it can either offer respectable power gains on a tight budget, or support heavy modifications that send the output through the sky while still keeping things relatively reasonable on the financial side.

We've brought along a video that shows the kind of Supra shenanigans still capturing attention these days. While we don't know the exact specs of the Mk IV in the video below, you can consider this middle-of-the-pack example, one that probably plays in the 450-700 hp arena.

The White supra took part in a recent event called Orlando Street Car Takeover, which saw it offering a custom interpretation of the drag strip burnout. Instead of performing a little tire-roasting stunt ahead of a pass, the shenanigan saw the Toyota going for an all-out rubber-melting session, with the smoke engulfing the drag strip, much to the crowd's entertainment.

Alas, the bumper sticker at the rear of the car might also have something to do with the fact that stereotypes exist for a reason. Make of that what you will.
