It’s true that the guys from Vorsteiner created probably the best wide body kit for the M4 at the moment, but that doesn’t mean that other won’t give it a try as well. Apart from the guys over at Liberty Walk that have become a regular presence on the wide body kit market, the Monaco Auto Design crew also gave it a try.
However, unlike the other two companies mentioned here, this is just a rendering, an imaginative exercise if you will, to see how an ever more aggressive setup would look like and we have to admit that it’s ... different.

It all depends on where you see this car being used. For a proper race track, it would do just fine, offering a lot of downforce due to the new aerodynamic parts and the wider track, but for daily driving purposes things are going to be a bit different.

Looking at it, the entire thing seems even wider than what Vorsteiner offered and that’s simply too much. The American tuner already pushed the envelope close to the limit. Their take made the M4 wider by 4 inches up front (10 cm) and 7 inches (17.5 cm) round the back. Take it from us: you don’t need that kind of headaches around town!

Now, getting back to matters at hand here, the front end hosts what looks like a huge intercooler right under the kidney grilles that would also suggest a power bump. Corroborated with the bigger exhaust tips round the back we’re pretty sure that the Monaco Auto Design studio created this rendering from the get go with a bigger power output than what the stock M4 is offering.

From the factory, the new M3 and M4 cars come fitted with a 3-liter biturbo inline 6-cylinder plant making 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. They can easily be tuned to make over 500 HP however and, in some cases, we’ve even seen the 600 barrier being approached. In those cases, however, a new intercooler was used and that’s the sort of setup this car could use.

It’s all just an imagination exercise but it does sound pretty good from where we’re sitting right now. Let’s see if anyone will ever build this thing.
