The heart of an E30 BMW M3 is its chassis - this is one of the conclusions that have helped generations of enthusiasts grow up with the original M3 in their dreams. And while the badge is still around, the contemporary safety and luxury appointments now used mean the driving experience delivered by the 80s hero we're talking about remains the purest.
The things stated above could easily be used as reasons to come up with a modern-day tribute to the E30 M3. And while this may or may not have been the source of Hanbindesign's inspiration, one thing is certain: the digital label has come up with a majestic E30 M3 homage.

We're talking about a series of renderings portraying a machine that's presented as an electric DTM racer. Hmmm... where have I heard such a combo before? That's right - the German Touring Car Masters series talked about a 1,000 hp electric racecar back in November.

It's all about a potential future for the series and while the backbone of the proposal would be a carbon monocoque, the juice sipping would involve either a battery or a hydrogen power pack.

While the Bavarian automaker's design DNA is clearly present here, I'm glad to inform you that BMW's recent super-sized kidney grilles are not. As for the connection to the 1980s icon, this is present despite the concept coming with its own identity.

And while you'll be able to zoom in on the contraption's styling details in the Instagram posts below, there's one more detail we need to discuss, one that involves the origin of these pixels.

Remember the label giving us this eye candy? Well, you should know we're dealing with a doodle coming from a Faraday Future exterior designer (you know, the Los Angeles-based start-up dedicated to developing EVs).
