Poland seems to have a big BMW community and their needs are carefully attended by the guys from MM Performance that we’ve seen in action before. Their hardcore BMW E89 Z4 was impressive enough to make us bookmark their website and check it out regularly.
Amongst their latest projects we found an interesting car, one that’s more family-prone that track monster. Unlike the Z4 that has seats only for two people, this F11 535i is a Touring model that will carry an entire family and their luggage on long trips, without hurting their backs.
Plenty of room inside this car but the owner wanted a special look as well as some added performance for his car, to make it stand out from the crowd. Said and done!
The guys from MM Performance started with the exterior, where they changed the stock wheels with Vorsteiner’s VFF-101 measuring 20x8.5 inches up front and 20x10 inches at the back, wrapped in Continental ContiSportsContact5 tires measuring 245/35/R20 on the front axle and 285/30/R20 on the rear one. H&R Lowering springs stiffened the suspension and lowered it, giving this Touring the perfect stance.
As we said before, performance was also an issue so the 3-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged engine under the bonnet had to get more grunt. In this regard, a Hartge plug and play kit was installed that raised the power output to 347 HP and 487 Nm (359 lb-ft) of torque. A K&N sport air filter and Eisenmann sport quad exhaust system finish off the package.
While it might seem like just a mild tune, we shouldn’t forget that this car wasn’t meant to be detoured from its initial purpose as a family hauler. In this regard, we think it’s now perfect, with a little touch of exclusivity to set it apart.
