The Mercedes-Benz M-Class (W166) is close to celebrate its one year birthday since its official launch in the land of the rising sun. So close, in fact, that the Stuttgart car manufacturer decided to offer a special edition of the SUV limited to just 100 units.
Based on the ML 350 BlueTec 4Matic, the “1st Anniversary Edition” will be available in any color you want as long as its either Obsidian Black or Diamond White Metallic - with the availability of the two shades being 60 and 40 units, respectively.
Specific exterior features for both models include the AMG Styling Package, 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels with five spokes and stainless steel running boards for the 1930's gangster in you.
As for the inside, the Japanese will be greeted by an Artico/Dinamica upholstery, AMG sports seats and steering wheel engulfed in Nappa Leather, plus stainless steel pedals. The safety bits include the radar safety package, Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.
Just like the normal ML 350 BlueTec, the 1st Anniversary Edition will feature a three-liter turbocharged V6 diesel with 258 hp and 620 Nm (457 lb ft), while the starting price for the model is 8,600,000 Yen.
