Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is selling a limited run of just 300 Mitsubishi Triton Bold Edition, available from January 12th 2011 onwards. The Bold Edition is based on the Triton 2.5 A/T and offers an extensive list of modifications for MYR100,117 ($32,776 at today’s exchange rate), on the road, excluding insurance.

Custom touches include full leather seats, a 2-DIN touch screen system with built-n GPS navigation and reverse camera, automatic climate control, 17 inch alloy wheels, anti-slip side steps, a sports bar, a chrome rear step bumper and a front bumper guard.

No changes were made underneath the skin of the pick-up, so it is essentially the same as the riton 2.5 A/T that comes with a 134 horsepower, 314Nm (231 lb-ft) 2.5-liter 4D56 turbodiesel engine paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and Mitsubishi's Easy Select 4WD system.

The most notable addition is the dual airbags, ABS with EBD, hybrid LSD, fog lamps, multi-mode centre information display and leather-wrapped steering wheel (see picture). On the outside, the Bold Edition sport more noticeable sports bar and chrome rear step bumper.

Back in 2009, Mitsubishi's Triton pickup received a mid-life facelift, with increased cargo volume and a bolder appearance among its key updates. The Bold Edition truck is available in either black or white and is offered with a 2-year maintenance package and 3-year warranty from Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.
