The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is available to order in Europe starting today, as the first units of the plug-in hybrid have reached Holland, the Japanese automaker announced, adding the vehicle will arrive in other “selected PHEV markets”, including Scandinavia, later this month.
Built at the company’s Okazaki plant, near Nagoya, Japan, the new Outlander PHEV has already achieved over 10,000 signed order across Europe since December 2012, Mitsubishi said in a statement.

Motivated by Mitsubishi’s “Twin Motor 4WD” powertrain, the Outlander Plug-In Hybrid EV has a maximum driving range of 824 km and a pure electric range of 52 km. Fuel consumption is rated at 1.9 liters/100 km, while CO2 emissions are measured at 44 g/km.

The vehicle can reach a top speed of 170 km/h and the batteries can be charged in 30 minutes via quick charging (up to 80 percent / CHAdeMO standard) or in five hours via normal charging (230V / 10A).
