We all know that the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo can server as the perfect base for extreme tuning projects that take performance to a sky-high level and we’re here to give you another example of that, an Evo IX that can rev up to 11,000 rpm!
The crew over at Speednation.tv got their hands on this manchine, a black Evolution IX MR that received heavy tech mods from Extreme Tuners, a company based in Greece. The vehicle’s four-cylinder engine was convinced to deliver 870 hp.
In order to handle all that power (almost three times its original output), the vehivle was fitted with goodies such as 18-imch rims with semi-slick tires, a new suspension and a front brake setup that includes 380mm rotors and ten-pot D2 grabbers.
We’re inviting you to enjoy the adjacent video that shows the monstrosity in action.
Watch this and try to imagine that Mitsu has confirmed that they're turning the Evo into a hybrid for the 11th generation...
