Mitsubishi Evo UK Return: Could Get Most Powerful Version Ever

Mitsubishi is planing a limited edition of the Evo X, which is set to be offered in 40 examples and will go on sale by the end of the year. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine could be tuned to offer the most powerful proposal ever.

This would mean outperforming the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ-400, which delivered 405 HP, but Mitsubishi didn’t offer any info on this. However, since this is a special edition, the vehicles will at least come with a few specific details to set them apart.

“The Evo has played such a role in our company’s history, and helped carve such an iconic image, that we were always aware that we would only bring the car back on sale if it was absolutely the right thing to do,” Mitsubishi UK boss Lance Bradley told autocar.

Unfortunately, the Evo’s future is uncertain, with Mitsubishi currently focusing on hybrid. The most important speculation so far points out to diesel hybrid Evo.
