It may be that early June brings very good news for the fans of electric sport bikes, as Mission Motorcycles has just started teasing a new photo of what is believed to be their street-legal superbike.
This means the new bike will offer much of the racing performance in a legally rideable package for everyday use, and this is simply glorious, as such a bike will be truly amazing. The racing version of the machine packs 14 kWh storage feeding into a 10kW AC inductor motor which can send the bike darting from 0 to 60 mph (~100 km/h) in 3 seconds.

With a top speed of over 160 mph (257 km/h) the racing Mission R is definitely no toy. The racing version of the Mission R sports a custom chassis made by James Parker, while the award-winning design belongs to Tim Prentice of Motonium, and has smashed the records previously set by other EV machines at Laguna Seca, proving that electric motorcycles are really up to fight the ICE ones.

Mission announces that June 3rd will be the day the “highest performing street-legal electric vehicle ever made” will surface, and we can't wait to learn more on the new beast.
