Miss World Will Attend 2011 DTM Opener

As the 2011 DTM season will kick off this very weekend at Hockenheim, championship big guns Mercedes-Benz and Audi are both seeking to secure as many fans as possible at their garage and hospitality facilities trackside.

After the Stuttgart-based manufacturer has today confirmed that Nico Rosberg will drive a DTM-spec C-Klasse AMG in front of the German fans this weekend, Audi now announced that their stand at Hockenheim will welcome model Rosanna Davison.

The 27-year-old Irishwoman is none other than the daughter of rock legend Chris de Burgh and has had her breakthrough in the modeling world after winning the Miss World contest back in 2003. She confirmed her attendance to the DTM event, although no one knows what her role throughout the weekend will be.

Another good news, this time addressed to the automotive fans, is that Audi will showcase its brand new Q3 model trackside, only 10 days after the car was officially introduced to the world media at the Shanghai Auto Show.

Alongside the Q3 model, fans will also get to admire Audi's all-new seventh-generation A6 and the 250-kW (340 hp) Audi RS 3 Sportback.

La piece de resistance for the German manufacturer will take place on Sunday, prior to the DTM opener, when a big parade comprising 23 Audi A1 cars will lap the Hockenheim circuit.
