The 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) to open its doors to the public next week in Detroit is not all about global premieres or electric vehicles that will be released in the upcoming years, but also about innovative concepts that have zero chances to enter production.

Such a creation is the so-called Misha all-terrain concept vehicle that will be displayed at the show at some of the many booths full with motorized contraptions. Although it could sound a little bit exaggerated that such a vehicle could be included in the list of concepts to make it to the 2011 NAIAS, designer Andrei Alexeev hopes the Misha will manage to gather some positive feedback and maybe it could even attract interest of some wealthy businessman.

Specifically designed for snowy roads and all kinds of difficult terrain where it's usually impossible to go by car, Misha is aimed at young families (is that so?) and relies on a very surprising and futuristic design. It is powered by four electric motors, one apiece on each wheel and uses hydrogen fuel cells to protect the environment.

Furthermore, the car features air suspension and Michelin wheels with retractable claws to provide extra grip when driven on snowy roads.

autoevolution will be attending the 2011 North American International Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions.
