When dealing with a brand such as MINI, it’s pretty hard to keep the new models going forward while also sticking to the original design of the brand, the one that made it what it is today. Even so, if there’s someone that can do it and did it in the last few years, it’s Anders Warming, the Head of MINI design.
He’s also the one that overlooked the creation of the latest concept from the island, the Clubman. The car was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2014 after making its debut online, a couple of days earlier. Anders did not just take care of the overall concept but he was also present at the Motor Show to introduce the car to the masses.
With the new Clubman you can still witness every bit of MINI DNA in action. From the front end that looks exactly like it should with the circular headlights and the grille right in the middle of things to the sides, contrasting roof and rear that features the same barn doors the original car had.
However, you’ll really be impressed when you get inside the car. The dash has a completely new shape, with new materials being used and a ton of details that will tingle you curiosity. The center display now showcases information for everyone in the car, while the driver has its own instrument cluster right in front of him, both of them using LCD technology.
The steering wheel, door panels and the seats were also changed, looking absolutely brilliant and emphasized by the see through roof with its two windows that go all the way from the front to the back, making this beauty a dashing appearance.
