When Sir Alec Issigonis penned the original Mini on a napkin, we can be sure that he wasn’t considering taking the car to the dragstrip. However, some owners don’t care about the Mini’s rallying heritage and like to race it in a straight line.
Today we’ve brought you an example of this - the adjacent clip shows us a Mini with a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle engine that posts a mind-blowing quarter mile time.

Even though the soundtrack doesn’t recommend this as being a turbocharged engine, the fact that the Mini manages to post a 10.2 s 1/4 mile time clearly indicates that we are dealing with a turbocharged Busa powerplant.

As a bonus, a Toyota MR2 dared to face this Mini and was eaten alive from the very beginning of the race.
