Since MINI is currently undergoing some massive changes, rumors say that we might see a wide array of new cars coming from the British manufacturer. The Countryman and Paceman are definitely the most peculiar 2 models in the current line-up but future plans might change that.
Sources quoted by Carsales.com.au, say that we might even see a sedan MINI make its way to our hearts somewhere in 2015. This new car would be using the UKL FWD platform developed by BMW and is aimed at competitors from Audi and Mercedes-Benz.

Codenamed F53, this will be a response to the German competition that is currently unchallenged by BMW. Furthermore, the same sources claim that, even though production of this car might start at the Oxford plant, later on it might be moved to cheaper locations like India or Malaysia, where MINI is already building cars.

As far as the Countryman and Paceman go, they might actually see out the usual 7-year life span of BMW and MINI models and be replaced later on, as they will be riding on a different platform, one shared with BMW's upcoming X1.
