MINI Throws Countryman Exclusive Launch Party

Under the “Urban meets Country” motto, MINI held an exclusive launch party for the new MINI Countryman, due to hit the showrooms in September 2010. The event took place at the Face 2 Superstudio in Via Tortona, Milan, and was attended by celebrities like Margherita Maccapani Missoni, Delfina Delettrez Fendi and Maarten Baas.

The highlight of the event was the world premiere of the new MINI Countryman song by Michelle Branch and Timbaland, performed live on stage for the first time by the country singer.

Taking center stage was the MINI Countryman packed by Dean and Dan Caten, owner-designers of the trendy DSquared² fashion label. The party atmosphere for the 350 guests was ensured by star DJ Nicola Guiducci.

Guests included fashion designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren from the Viktor & Rolf brand, the Gianfranco Ferré designers Roberto Rimondi and Tommaso Aquilano, Kean Etro from Etro, Neil Barrett, Romeo Gigli, and an array of international socialites such as Francesca Versace, Bianca and Coco Brandolini d’Adda, Isabella and Matilde Borromeo, Teresa Maccapani Missoni and TV anchorwomen Victoria Cabello and Magda Gomez.

The MINI Countryman has been revealed this January as a crossover to round off the brands’ lineup. It is larger and taller than the Hatch, and can be ordered as an option with all-wheel drive. The Countryman is the brand’s first model to come with four doors and a wide-opening tailgate. All models will be fitted as standard with air conditioning, MINI Centre Rail stowage, attachment system and an audio system with CD player.
