The newest addition was the new MINI Paceman that celebrated its world premiere being followed closely by the revamped Countryman that was unveiled just days before at New York, celebrating its Chinese and Asian premieres.

The two are basically identical, sharing both the updated features and the underpinnings, the only difference being the extra 2 doors on the Countryman. The Cooper S variants of the two now have 192 PS at their disposal and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque, going up to 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque with overboost.

Choosing the Chinese Auto Show for this premiere wasn’t a coincidence, as the Paceman is quite popular in the communist country, quickly gathering a following amongst MINI enthusiast. Actually, the Chinese market is the biggest for this model, on a global scale.

Other models put up for display include the new MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S Hardtop, the MINI Clubman, MINI Coupe, MINI Convertible and MINI Roadster, making for a complete 7-model line-up. The 2014 Beijing Auto Show will be open for visitors from April 23rd to 29th, 2014, at the China International Exhibition Center.
