The Malaysian branch of the BMW Group introduced the 3-door version of the MINI Countryman, the Paceman in the country. Unfortunately for the Malaysian customers, this model will only be available in the Cooper S variant.
This way, the MINI family that now includes 7 models (The Hatchback, Clubman, Convertible, Countryman, Coupe, Roadster and Paceman) is completed in the Asian country too.
The Cooper S version of the Paceman will have the same 1.6-liter turbocharged engine under the bonnet with 184 HP and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, the ALL4 version will not be available, the customers being limited to the two-wheel drive model.
All the interior exclusive features will be available for the newest MINI, including MINI Connected with Radio MINI Visual Boost, Mission Control, Dynamic Music and many others.
The Malaysian market will have 5 colors to choose from, including the new Brilliant Copper and Starlight Blue shades, whilst the roof and mirror caps can be done in a choice between classic White, Black or the body color.
Pricing starts at RM288,888 (€73,750 or $95,450) on the road, without insurance but with the MINI Tender Loving Care package included.
