MINI Paceman Launched in Malaysia

BMW's official representative in Malaysia has officially launched the new MINI Paceman compact crossover. This three-door model with a difference shares its looks to some degree with the Countryman, but hunkers down for that sport look everybody is after.

The only model available is the Cooper S Paceman though. This comes with a 1.6-liter turbo engine rated at 184 hp at 5,500 rpm and 240 Nm between 1,600 and 5,000 rpm. The only transmission option offered in Malaysia is the six-speed automatic, which also restricts your drivetrain to front-wheel drive.

Prices start at RM288,888 (USD95,600) on-the-road and include the MINI Tender Loving Care service package.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
