MINI's latest model, the Paceman, was just released in Europe creating somewhat of a big buzz. The Australian market will be receiving the new MINI in May and pricing has already been announced for the JCW version.
The John Cooper Works MINI Paceman will have a pretty steep price tag in Australia, starting at $58,600 AUD ($61,000 US and €47,000) for the manual 6-speed version and $60,950 AUD ($63,000 US and €49,000) for the 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The JCW Paceman will have a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with 218 HP and 260 lb-ft (280 Nm) of torque that will be sending its power to all 4 wheels through MINIs new All4 all-wheel-drive system. The 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint is done in 6.9 seconds though, no matter the transmission.

The chassis of the new Paceman JCW version has been especially designed in order to fix the problems customers encountered on previous JCW models and will also have a Sport button that improves the transmission's shift times and responsiveness of the engine.

The Australian JCW Pacemans will be fitted with the Chilli Package which includes bi-xenon headlights, a Harman/Kardon audio system, anti-dazzle rear-view mirror and climate control.
