The fastest MINI ever built was unfortunately limited to only 2000 units. We're, of course, talking about the MINI John Cooper Works GP, a 1,235kg (2722 lbs), 218 HP rocket that keeps that same-old go-kart feeling as always.
Being built in such limited numbers, it's kind of hard to get your hands on one, especially if you're living in the US, where only 500 of them will be sent. The guys from MotorTrend managed to get a hold of one and publish a review based on how the car felt.

The best thing about this review is the location: a karting circuit, where the GP feels at home. The car's nimble body and agile character proved perfect for the circuit and brought smile after smile on Justin Bell's face (the driver).

At one point, he even raced a proper kart on the circuit, staying really close to it, despite being over a tone heavier. The 1.6-liter engine and the marvelous gearbox are a great combination, making for perfect shifts and enough power to have fun.

Sure, the price tag might seem a bit steep for some people, but considering the fun you'll have, the fact that the number of GPs to be built is 2000 and just how much it will be worth in a couple of years, we think it's worth it.
