I guess the movie "I, Frankenstein" was a big success in Germany, as tuner Mcchip decided to create a car worthy of the attention of the famous doctor.
This orange monster used to be a MINI JCW once, fitted with a measly 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that was making a bit over 210 HP. However, the guys thought it wasn't enough and decided to do a swap.
Since space was limited, they were only able to go as far as 2 liters of displacement but their choice was amongst the best they could've made. They went for Audi/VW's 2-liter TFSI unit that used to power the old S3 and Scirocco R that makes, in standard guise, no less than 265 HP.
Of course, the gearbox had to be changed too, a DSG double-clutch unit being perfect for the goal they were pursuing. The car also received a limited-slip-differential and a sequential-style gear stick to handle the 340 HP, that the engine is currently making thanks to a Stage 3 tune, easier. All we want now is some footage of the car on a proper race track.
