MINI Graphite Preps for MINI United

MINI has prepared a special treat for its UK customers. Don't expect a new model, but special edition, or package, or whatever you want to call it. Called MINI Graphite, the new special edition adds more standard equipment compared to the regular models. The package will be available for MINI One, Cooper and Cooper D.

What stands out is the use of Dark Silver metallic paint on all models of the edition, and not only on the Cooper S and john Cooper Works models. In addition, the Graphite broings new to standar equipment the following features for the MINI One:
  • Dark Silver metallic paint
  • Black Bonnet Stripes
  • White Indicator Lenses
  • Piano Black Interior
  • Graphite badge on B-pillars
  • 15-inch Rotator Spoke alloy wheels

The MINI Cooper Graphite and the MINI Cooper D Graphite boast, in addition to the features of the aforementioned model, a set of 16 inch Bridge Spoke alloy wheels and the choice of either black or white bonnet stripes.

MINI Hatch can also benefit from the Graphite package, if you can persuade the dealer. Fitting the Graphite on the Hatch will cost only an extra £225-£280, compared to the other three models. We would go for it...

Prices for the special edition, soon to be found in dealerships across the UK, start at £13,075 for the One, £14,590 for the Cooper and 15,660 for the Cooper D. The MINI One special edition can also be leased, with a starting £210 per month (36 months financing) and a £2,000 deposit.

This month, MINI gives owners the chance to gather round at Silverstone, for the 2009 MINI United event. The "gathering" will take place in between May 22 and May 24.
