The Roadster might not be the most popular MINI but it’s definitely the most exciting of the line-up, during the summer with the top down. The TFLcar crew took it for one of their special test drives, let’s see how they liked it.
The S model comes with the 184 HP engine and 250 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and can get hooked up to a manual or automatic 6-speed transmission. The drag times are not that great but the feel inside the car is incredible.
While they’re comparing the MINI with a Mazda, we wouldn’t. Sure, the MX-5 is a great car but it lacks the premium feel of the MINI and, let’s be honest, the road handling and sensations behind the wheel are not enough in some cases.
Furthermore, the MINI offers plenty of space even for tall and overweight people, as they eloquently point out. The fuel consumption is good and the practicality factor is quite impressive, despite being a Convertible.
