The newest MINI, the Paceman is really trying to make a name for itself. It was introduced to the world just a couple of weeks ago and the reviews just keep on pouring in.
This is one of those cars that will definitely surprise you, as the guys from TFLcar admitted. Nathan was rather reluctant at first and even said the car is hideous and resembles a truck. Not quite true.
The Cooper S Paceman they tested is the 1.6-liter turbocharged version with 181 HP and 177 lb-ft (240 Nm) of torque. In the ALL4 form, as they tested, it comes with all-wheel-drive and an automatic gearbox.
The test showed that the Paceman really does better than expected, even at 1 mile above sea level. The 0-60 mph (96km/h) test was done with in 7.77 seconds and surprised poor Nathan that expected the "heavy MINI" to do a lot worse.
The MINI Cooper S Paceman is available in the US starting at $27,500 (€21,000).
