The guys from Edmunds decided to put together a list of cars that they would buy. There was no limit of cars that would make it to the list but there were a couple of different categories.
One of them was Best Subcompact Car, a segment where there could be only one winner: the MINI Cooper Hardtop. Here's what they said about the car: "We would happily own a Chevy Sonic, Ford Fiesta or Honda Fit. All things being equal, however, the Mini Cooper is the far superior subcompact car. It's better to drive, better made and better to behold."
That, ladies and gentlemen, says it all. The MINI dominates the subcompact class to this day. Even though the MINI phenomenon started back in the late 50s, the British company managed to survive over the years and even thrive under BMW's leadership.
As for Edmunds' list, it contains heavy names like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GTC, 2014 Porsche 911, Ferrari FF and 2013 Range Rover, so we can be proud of our little MINI for making the list.
