Last year, British car manufacturer MINI and snowboard expert Burton took over the Swiss ski resort, Laax with their collaboration, bringing the best of two worlds together in one epic event.

Back then, a MINI Countryman was used to bring the RE:LAAX concept to life. This year, the collaboration between the two continues with another stunning rendering, this time by Urban Art Illustrator, Andreas Preis.

From 13 to 19 January 2014, the proceedings will take place as part of the Burton European Open (BEO), where more than 300 riders from around the world are expected to show up, including Swiss pro, Christian “Hitsch” Haller and Enni Rukajärvi of Finland.

The MINI Paceman that will be used by Andreas Preis for his project will forever leave his name behind after the artist will be done with it, becoming ‘SNOW BEAST’, as Andreas like to call it. It will have its first public airing against the backdrop of the Burton European Open snowboard competitions and in front of the C_ART container that will be periodically accessible to the public.

“The whole concept behind the MINI Paceman SNOW BEAST is creating a perfect mix of five heraldic animals that symbolize mountains and snow:  the ibex represents ambition, the eagle vision, the lynx gracefulness, the wolf teamwork and the owl wisdom,” said Andreas about his project.
