It’s not very often we get to see a car getting a version purposely-designed to be sold to corporations in need of renewing their fleets.
The Brits from MINI, used to doing things a bit differently, announced on Wednesday the introduction of a special version of the Clubman fro the British market. This variant was purpose-built to cater to the needs of the corporate market.

The City version of the Clubman will be made available for both the gasoline and diesel versions of the car. Prices for the models start at £19,995 for the gasoline Clubman with a manual transmission and can reach £23,855 for the D automatic.

Setting the City apart from their private citizen's versions is the use of several options as standard: Satellite Navigation with 6.5” display, Apple Car Play, DAB, Real-Time Traffic Information (RTTI), Intelligent Emergency Calling (E-call) and Rear Park Distance Control (PDC).

MINI's move to conquer the corporate market is however motivated not by the need to offer something extra for fleet buyers, but by the desire to sell more cars while taking advantage of the companies’ need to comply with various emission regulations.

All the cars sold by MINi to fleets will be Euro 6d-TEMP emission standard compliant, the One D for instance, with its 109 g/km (combined) emission levels being the lowest emissions of any Clubman model.

“We’re well aware that many fleets operate strict CO2 limits but also need to offer drivers vehicles that are versatile and suitable for everyday life; be that commuting, traveling with the family or using the vehicle for leisure purposes,” said in a statement MINI’s head of corporate sales, Steve Roberts.

MINI Clubman, one of the brand’s most versatile vehicles, offers all of these benefits alongside a great standard specification for the corporate market.
