The current generation of the MINI One D is powered by a bigger 1.6-liter engine that offers 90 PS and maximum torque of 215 Nm. Also available across most of the MINI model range is the Cooper S version which uses a 1.6-liter as well, but delivers 112 PS and 270 Nm of torque.

The latest and most powerful diesel, however, is the Cooper SD. It uses a 2.0-liter unit with 143 PS and maximum torque of 305 Newton metres between 1,750 and 2,700 rpm, available both with a manual and automatic gearbox. The most powerful diesel in the MINI engine arsenal is available for all seven models - the MINI, MINI Clubman, MINI Convertible, MINI Coupé, MINI Roadster, MINI Countryman and MINI Paceman.
