When the whole auto world reports on a piece of news with a question mark at the end, you know you have a real mystery on your hands, and that’s exactly what’s happening under MINI brand. German magazine Auto, Motor und Sport reports that MINI might debut a brand new two-seater at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
Don’t get all excited, because we’re talking about a panel van based on the Countryman. Yes, a commercial van for your delivery needs. If this is the missing tenth vehicle in MINI’s future lineup, it’s a sad day in the industry.
The official name is not yet known, but the platform will surely be borrowed from the Clubman, which will surely lose its rear seats and windows.

The diesel versions will likely focus on lower emissions that are so important for utilitarian vehicles these days, while the gasoline units should add appeal and spice that’s been missing in recent years.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
