The MINI line-up for this year’s biggest European auto venue will include it latest Cooper models, as expected, and a couple of the ones that already made their debut around the world at other events of similar or even bigger magnitude.
Of course, the focus will be on the future with the new models introducing the latest technology regarding ride quality, chassis tuning on-the-go and fuel saving measures. The biggest news though will be the unveiling of the MINI Clubman Concept that was previously teased earlier this month.

Also making their world debut will be the new, fuel-efficient MINI One and One D models that are aiming at bringing even more variety to the range alongside unbelievably low CO2 emission numbers.

The MINI One, for example, will be using the smallest engine BMW makes, rated at just 1.2-liters of displacement, with TwinPower turbo technology, making 102 HP from 4,250 RPM to 6,000 RPM and 180 Nm (132 lb-ft) of torque. At the moment, the fuel consumption is rated (on average) at 4.6-4.7 l/100 km (51.1 - 50 mpg).

The diesel alternative, the MINI One D, on the other hand, will be sticking to the 1.5-liter configuration, making 95 HP and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque from 1,500 RPM. Sure, the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint will be done in 11 seconds but the aim here was fuel saving and the new model returns an average fuel consumption between 3.4-3.5 l/100 km (68 mpg) with CO2 emissions rated below 100 g/km.

Other models on display between March 6th - 16th 2014 will include the MINI John Cooper Works Coupe, MINI Convertible and MINI Roadster as well as the MINI Countryman and Paceman, blending tradition with the latest models in the field.

The new technology won’t be overlooked either, the MINI stand showcasing the fresh MINI Connected program including the latest technological innovations in the areas of safety and driver assistance as well as the already traditional accessory range.

As for the Clubman Concept, its aim is to combine the traditional dynamic performance of the British brand with the needs of today’s customers that are aiming to get the most out of their car and need elegance and functionality at the same time.

Of course, the typical MINI styling will be present in the car’s design, and the new “Berry Red” color will be combined with the metallic grey color “Blade” to emphasize the dynamic appearance of the new concept car.

At the moment, there’s been no word on the drivetrains that will be installed on the new Clubman but don’t expect major changes anyway, as the B-family engines will most likely be used alongside the new 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
