While some might call this suicide or Darwin's laws in full effect, I would call it the result of human recklessness and ignorance.
It's of course, sad to see that people are getting hurt, but honestly, it would have been almost a miracle if this accident did not happen. Simply riding like an idiot into traffic without thoroughly checking for incoming vehicles means instantaneously forfeiting safety, health and even one's life.
Unfortunately we get to see plenty of such accidents in Asian countries, where many riders are not exactly preoccupied with road safety and motorcycle training and are often ignoring the most elementary safety regulations.
