Military Vehicle Fails Brake Test: Axle Comes Out

Whenever we read about tanks and other armored vehicles, we wonder how they have such low speeds, despite being propelled by gigantic engines. There’s a very good reason for that though, as all that weight is hard to get going at any sort of significant speed, and once it get there it’s even harder to stop.
This video of what’s being described as a military vehicle undergoing a braking test from 60 miles per hours is rapidly spreading across the internet. On the second try, the whole back axle rips right out from the vehicle, after the suspension plays hopscotch due to the high load.

That’s what we call a failed test! This vehicle is made by a company called Force Protect. They make machines called the Cheetah, Cougar, Ocelot and Buffalo which have been used by the US army in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Just get Tony Stark on the job and he’ll have it singing in a day! That’s why people buy “Made in Germany” tanks – it’s the quality.
