Mick Jagger Clearly Is Not Driving a Brand New Car in Cuba

A bird has told us Mick Jagger has been on vacation in Cuba for the past weeks, and this recent post of the legendary rock star is here to confirm that. He may be the leader of one of the most successful bands in music history, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be a true petrolhead too. After all, they even made a song related to that matter. The thing is, what we see in the picture above clearly is not a “Brand New Car.”
Eye candy level? Well, apparently it’s reaching new highs. Hyper rock star? Checked. Great country to visit? Checked. Classic vehicles brought back to life? Checked. What else do you need, honestly? Maybe, a bit of proper music wouldn’t harm. Well, here it is:

“Jack her up baby, go on, open the hood / I want to check if her oil smells good Mmmm...smells like caviar / Give her some stick / Push her too far / Right to the brink / Hear the motor running / Yeah, she's right in sink”

Good. Now, let us discuss the matter in question for a change. As far as this editor can tell, we’re looking at a classic Buick, perhaps dating back to the late 1940s. On a regular basis, the next thing we’d mention would be the story of the vintage automobile collector who owns it. Not this time, though, since, believe it or not, this kind of classic American car is the regular view you get cruising on the Cuban streets.

The Caribbean island nation is famous for their four-wheeled line-up. As a matter of fact, it may as well be the only nation where both classic American machinery and old-school Easter European cars share the road on a daily basis. There even is a growing race-tuning movement that is currently looking to take a legal path in Cuba.

Obviously, Mick Jagger joked when he called the classic Buick his new car while also hinting at his band famous song.

As to the car, it seems to be a wreck. First of all, the vehicle has its hood open which can only mean one thing. Second, it seems like the auto is leaking oil or perhaps even gasoline, which again is bad news.

Whatever happened, the Rolling Stones lead singer clearly had no problem keeping a big smile on his face.
