Michelin Folding e-Bike Gets Puncture-Proof Tires Set for October Launch

Michelin is a company which likes to innovate, and so they have taken it upon themselves to come up with a green means of transportation, to which they could add a bit of their expertise in the world of automotive rubber products. The task was undertaken by the company’s Lifestyle division, and the result is interesting-looking folding electrically-assisted bicycle.
One of the main features Michelin has brought forth are its kevlar-strengthened tires which are virtually puncture-proof, ensuring that you will never get stranded far from home again. It features a 220 W electric motor which draws the rear wheel through a Shimano eight-speed transmission, which is built into the rear hub assembly.

Its batteries ensure a range of 45 km, and take up to 5 hours to charge. However, despite the addition of batteries, the bike is still very light, weighing in at just 17.6 kg. It goes on sale from October and it can be yours for €1,390, which includes the purchase price of the bike, as well as a two years’ warranty.
