Almost two weeks ago we were informing you about the greatest turn of events in the Michael Schumacher coma saga, with Schumi's agent informing the press that the septuple Formula 1 champion has been showing “moments of consciousness”.
Even though news about the ex-Formula 1 driver have started sounding like speculations about Bobby Ewing's absence from Dallas, it's now time for yet another bombshell regarding his health and it once again comes from official sources.

According to his manager, Sabin Kehm, Schumi is showing further signs of progress, with the German actually being awake at times.

“There are short moments of consciousness and he is showing small signs of progress,” Kehm told German broadcaster consortium ARD.
“There are moments when he is awake and moments when he is conscious.” she added.

“Of course I am not a doctor, but medically, there is a distinction between being awake and being conscious, the latter meaning there is an ability to interact with his surroundings. I don't want to disclose details out of respect for the family, but we have no doubt at all in the abilities of the doctors treating Michael, they are experts in their field.”

Naturally, even though the information above comes straight from his manager, Sabine Kehm is not quoting the actual doctors who are treating Schumacher, so the improvement is strictly in the eyes of the persons closest to him right now, but it's not exactly a professional opinion.

As you know, Michael Schumacher has been in a medical-induced coma for over three months now, after hitting his head on a rock in a skiing accident on December 29. The rather long period of time with rare official reports about his health has prompted a huge amount of speculation concerning his evolution, but hopefully his manager's recent updates are nothing but good news for the nearby future.
