Michael Schumacher's Website Exploited by Fashion Designer

It's incredible what some people might do in order to increase their website's traffic on the Internet. And 7-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher is the latest big name to be exploited via the Internet, as a simple misprint of his official website will lead you to a fashion-related page.

While Michael Schumacher's site is www.michael-schumacher.de, if one would write a dot (the “.” sign) between the 41-year old's name and surname – meaning www.michael.schumacher.de – he would be directed to the site owned by fashion designer Dorothy Schumacher-Singoff.

Unfortunately, despite the name resemblance, there is absolutely nothing that connects Michael Schumacher from the aforementioned fashion designer. And to make things even worst, Schuey's brother Ralf is in the exact same situation. If one were to type the ralf.schumacher.de domain on their browser, he would also be directed to the fashion website.

Obviously, the Schumachers are set to resolve the situation immediately, as lawyer Bernd Saint-Paul hinted that legal actions against Schumacher-Singoff may be issued on the basis of breach of a demarcation agreement. However, no decisions have been made at the moment.

Talking to Cologne publication Express, Schumacher's long-time manager Willi Weber hit the fashion designer (and people like her) for taking advantage of his client's name, admitting that “I thought those things were behind us.”

In the meantime, Schumacher has already arrived to Jerez for the second F1 test of the off-season, where he's to take the Mercedes W01 to the track for the entire Thursday.
