We all (should) know that movie stars and celebrities in general don’t really drive ‘green’ cars to save the planet. It is simply an image booster for them, which gets them talked-about in a positive way. Check out Michael Douglas’ facial expression as he gives a valet $20 for the safe return of his white Toyota Prius.
He is clearly not too happy to get into his rather cheap car, despite the fact he is worth an estimated $188- (€152-) million. With that kind of money, he could start his own green car company and, perhaps, restore the smile on his face, by driving something more individual than a bland and boring Prius.
We say celebrities should stop driving ‘green’ cars to boost their image, because they’re not really fooling anybody, or if they are, the people believing everything they say, should get their facts straight.
