The Brits buy more superminis than anything else. In fact they pretty much coined the word supermini… and the mini car… and the mini dress. Despite this, the first car launched there by the revived MG brand, now a Chinese owned company, was a big sedan.
Finally, the MG3 is available, making the revival of this once famous company a little bit more plausible.
MG has just teased us this short clip which previews their new marketing campaign. It's all about being young and fresh, with a splash of British pride and Chinese-built affordability.
Of course, the MG3 is not the dynamic benchmark in its class, but the same can always be said about a Peugeot or Citroen, and we buy plenty of those. We hear that turbo engines are on the way and the old team responsible for the plucky 150 hp ZR is coming back. There's hope yet for MG.
Our say: We just checked with MINI and Renault. They want their graphics back. The stripes, the spots and splashes – everything.
