MG is gearing up to enter the 2012 season of the British Touring Car Championship, with the company preparing an explosive move. Two MG6 GT racers will be part of the new MG KX Momentum Racing with double BTCC champion Jason Plato and Andy Neate behind the wheel.
The MG6 GT five-door fastback is the first all-new MG in 16 years ,with the vehicle being created at MG Motor’s UK site in Birmingham. MG KX Momentum Racing is scheduled to debut at Brands Hatch on April 1 when the 2012 Dunlop MSA BTCC championship season starts.

“It’s really exciting to be involved in a brand-new all-British team and it’s just brilliant that the iconic name of MG will be back on the track,” Plato said.
