Mexico Blue Porsche 911 GT3 RS Gets an Even More Track-Biased Wheel Alignment

The reason for which building street machines is considerably more complicated than designing racecars is that the road-legal rides have to serve their purpose in al almost infinite range of scenarios.

As such, you can't expect any street car, not even a track-biased beast such as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS PDK, to perfectly cater to your circuit needs. And this is where the tuning world steps in.

For today, we want to show you what California-based GMG Racing can do for your Rennsport Neunelfer. The company, which races and tunes machines for customers (Porsches, Lambos and others) has come up with a track package that builds on the sheer dedication of the rear-engined machine.

The hardcore version of the kit, which you can see on the Lava Orange beast in the image gallery below, comes with a list of changes led by 19-inch wheels replacing the factory 20-inch units.

The wheels are shod in Hoosier racing slicks, which the change has also led to the carbon-ceramic brakes being replaced with steel units. Then there's the wheel alignment. This helps the GT3 RS get out of its comfort zone - to be more precise, the slight understeer dialed in from the factory for safety purpose is eliminated, keeping in mind that customers who choose such a pack know their way around an RWD machine.

Sure, you'd expect the same thing from "standard" GT3 RS customers, but we have to admit a few of those people tend to let the show-off episodes stand in between them and performance driving perfection.

Returning to the GMG 911 GT3 RS, the package also includes a half-cage and that's because the US law doesn't allow Porsche to deliver the velocity behemoth with the rollcage that comes standard in Europe. It all has to do with occupants potentially banging their heads against solid cabin elements in the event of a crash. The racing seats, along with corresponding harnesses, complete the package.

Nevertheless, certain customers choose to go for a milder approach, for instance only opting for a custom wheel alignment. And if you want an example of this, you should zoom in on the Mexico Blue GT3 RS in the pic above. Delicious, isn't it?
